EXHILARATING TRAILS
Aardvark has an extensive network of carefully designed mountain bike trails on both the Eastern and Western sides of the reserve. These trails cater for both beginners (blue) and advanced (red) riders. There are various routes and segments including our unique network of “green trails” that carefully follow animal tracks. Trails range from 5km to 65km and can be downloaded on your Garmin.
Complimentary BASKET
We grow our own organic fruit, vegetables, and fresh herbs, and you will receive a complimentary basket subject to seasonal availability.
Our produce is, of course, organic and grown with sustainable practices here on Aardvark. You’ll find that the flavors and freshness surpass what’s typically found in most stores.
Nature/Game Drive
Embark on an unforgettable nature and game drive, where you might encounter Springbok, Zebra, Roan, Giraffe, Kudu, Blesbuck, and Oryx.
Shared Drive: Approximately 2 hours, shared with other guests. R1,000 per cottage (subject to availability and weather).
Private Drive: Fully catered, personalised experience. R2,500 (pre-booking required). Perfect for families or special occasions.
Romantic Sundowners: Enhance your private drive with a pre-booked, intimate sundowner experience (additional cost).
*Important Note: Children under 2 are not permitted on shared drives. Children under 6 are welcome on pre-booked private drives.
HOT TUBS
Included with all of our cottages is your own private wood-fired hot tub. There is no better way to view the Milky Way.
Firewood: A complimentary supply is provided for your first day. Additional wood can be purchased on the farm.
HIKING
There are numerous hiking trails ranging from easy to strenuous. On the eastern side of the farm these trails (Eland, Kudu and Springbok) are well marked.
WILDFLOWERS
The Klein Karoo is famous for its succulents and Aardvark is no exception. Our succulents bloom from as early as July through spring and with good winter rains the reserve turns into a sea of colour. Special walks with a succulent expert can be arranged subject to his availability.
